Man arrested in first-degree murders of two Vancouver Island women

A 24-year-old Duncan man has been arrested in the first-degree murders of two women.

The burned body of 42-year-old Karrie-Ann Stone was found in the woods near Glenora back in July 2010.

Eighteen-year-old Tyeshia Jones was reported missing the next January, when she didn’t come home from hanging out with friends the night before.

Her body was found days later in the woods off Indian Road, in Duncan.

RCMP say they have arrested William Gordon Robert Elliott, who remains in custody and is set to appear in court next week.
