New date set for drowning inquest

A new date has been set for an inquest into the death of emergency worker Sheilah Lorraine Sweatman.
It has been moved to the third week of November at the courthouse in Nelson.
The inquest was slated to start June 4th, but the delay was caused by the unavailability of witnesses and lawyers.
The 29-year old woman was performing a recovery operation with Nelson’s search and rescue unit when she died in Creston last June 29th.

She drowned trying to recover a body from a submerged car.
