We’re now getting a better idea of what one of Vancouver’s less attractive landmarks is going to look like following a dramatic facelift.
When Sears is replaced by Nordstrom in the spring of 2015 it will be a very different building.
The building’s shell will remain the same, but that’s about it.
The modern design will feature a lot of glass, with most of the building exterior replaced with windows.
The new department store was designed by the same architect responsible for the Fairmont Pacific Rim, the Shaw tower and Shangri-la.
