Translink’s on the move to new offices in New Westminster.
Right now, the headquarters are at Metrotown where the lease is up soon.
Translink’s Chief Operating Officer Doug Kelsey says it’s a move that will save taxpayers nearly half a million-dollars a year, “The marketplace has spoken; we’ve gone out and tendered it and got the most competitive deal possible and it’s cost effective for everyone involved. It gets us to a Leads gold standard which is the highest gold for sustainability for facilities like this.”
The new building in Sapperton will also house Transit Police.
