Vancouver Police are looking for a suspected thief who masqueraded as a volunteer at two high-profile events.
The woman is described as a person of interest in the disappearance of nine thousand dollars from the Vancouver Pride Society leading up to this summer’s parade on August 3rd.
Sergeant Randy Fincham says the same woman is a suspect in another theft dating back to September 3rd of last year.
“During the Vancouver Taiwanese festival where it was later discovered that three thousand dollars cash went missing. The money went missing from a tent that housed personal belongings that belonged to volunteers at the festival.”
Fincham says the woman, who gave a fake name to organizers of both events, has not been identified yet.
