Not much activity downtown after the Vancouver Canucks’ first playoff game.
The police department appeared out in force. Ambling in pairs up the sidewalk, cruising past on bicycles, keep watch from unmarked vehicles.
But there was mostly nothing to patrol but sullen, jersey-clad fans wallowing in the team’s loss.
The fans didn’t notice any trouble either, “Just sort of disappointment.”
“it was not rowdy at all.”
They’re just focused on the next game, “We’ll be fine. We’re a good time. Not worried.”
The Canucks face the Kings in Game 2 Friday at 7 p.m.
