Roommate killer found guilty

A Surrey man has been found guilty of murder and weapons charges — after killing his roommate and taking shots at police.

IHIT Sgt. Jennifer Pound says the conviction stems from an incident in August of 2010, when Mounties were called to a home in Bolivar Heights.

“Upon attendance they were met by a male who fired shots at them and fled the scene.”

Lester Oseguera — a house painter originally from Honduras has now been convicted of second degree murder in the death of roommate Jose Juna — also a house painter from El Salvador.

Witnesses testified Oseguera was loaded on beer and cocaine at the time.
