The provincial government has selected S-N-C Lavalin as its so-called “preferred proponent” to design and build the Evergreen rapid transit line.
But the two parties still have to finalize an actual agreement.
S-N-C Lavalin was selected over two other bidders, including the Kiewit-Flatiron group that’s building the new port mann bridge.
S-N-C Lavalin built the Canada Line, which opened on budget and 15 weeks early in 2009.
The 1.4 billion dollar Evergreen line is expected to be in operation in 2016.
