The man who admitted to killing dozens of sled dogs near Whistler in 2010 is appearing in court Tuesday morning in North Vancouver.
Robert Fawcett was first set to be tried in Pemberton, but security concerns prompted the move to North Vancouver.
Fawcett is charged with causing unnecessary pain or suffering to an animal.
Details of the killing came to light after Fawcett received compensation from Worksafe BC, claiming he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after the cull.
The bodies of more than 50 sled dogs were recovered near Whistler in May of 2011.
