Forest firefighters are battling a small blaze that’s broken out in the mountains above Lions Bay.
“The area, it does have an awful lot of hiking trails in it, so if people had planned to go into the area, we’re asking them to go elsewhere for today to give our crews a chance to get their work done,” says Coastal Fire Centre spokesperson Donna MacPherson.
She adds the blaze was first spotted overnight and is estimated at one hectare in size.
It’s not threatening any structures.
