The BC Conservatives are taking aim at Vernon-Monashee Liberal MLA Eric Foster and his office expenses.
BC Tory Leader John Cummins says taxpayers are paying the bill Foster has wracked up without any paperwork, “What we have here is exorbitant rents being paid, exorbitant renovation fees and the beneficiary of course, is his Constituency Assistant’s husband and her family. I just think it is outragous. I think the public is certainly upset and they want answers.”
Cummins says Foster moved his constituency office to a run down building but doubled his rent and billed 67-thousand dollars to taxpayers in renovations.
He is asking the Conflict Commissioner to release paperwork on the file.
The ridings Tory candidate Scott Anderson is also calling for the Auditor-General to re-open his investigation.
