Translink held a private meeting with stakeholders about the Pattullo bridge.

Translink held an exclusive meeting about replacing the Pattullo bridge inviting certain stakeholders but leaving one prominent name out.

New West Liberal candidate Hector Bremner was there and says commercial business, environment groups, and the port authority all atttended.

Bremner says the proposal is for a six lane bridge with two lanes dedicated to commercial traffic.

He said “But it only makes sense for the bridge itself it is not addressing what happens with that traffic when it gets to the North side and thats in New Westminster in sort of the Tri-Cities area in that corridor along the North Fraser it is just that the traffic is not moving already and so this issue has to be addressed.”

While the meeting was held in Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts, who is calling for an financial audit of translink, was not invited to attend.
