Two men allegedly attacked by trio with baseball bats in Surrey

Two men in their early twenties were sent to hospital early Sunday morning after allegedly being attacked by a trio of men with baseball bats.

RCMP Staff Sgt. Blair McColl says police were called shortly after 1:00.

The victims were on 132nd Street at about 80th Avenue in Surrey.

“These two males had been walking along the side of the road and for an unknown reason to them, were attacked by 3 other males who apparently struck them several times with baseball bats.”

McColl says one of the victims had cuts on his head and the other seems to have some broken bones in his face.

He says police haven’t been able to determine a motive.

McColl says the victims were intoxicated–he’s not aware that either one has any criminal history.

Police haven’t been able to find the suspects, and don’t have any descriptions other than they are believed to be in their early twenties.
