AMC has greenlit the quirky unscripted workplace comedy/drama series “JJK Security” to join their original series line-up which currently includes “Walking Dead,” “Breaking Bad” and “Mad Men” reports Variety.
Described as Coen Brothers and Christopher Guest-esque in style, the story follows a group of slightly off-kilter characters who work at a small, family-owned private security company located in rural Georgia.
The firm is a one-stop shop for services that range from private investigations to personal protection to neighborhood patrols. Ken Druckerman and Banks Tarver are serving as executive producers.
Eight half-hour episodes will be produced for the first season which will launch around this time next year.
