The NDP says Premier Christy Clark doesn’t need another high priced communications official in her office.
Caucus Chair Shane Simpson says Clark’s hiring of Mike Morton as her new press secretary reflects an office in chaos, “One day they’re moving to the right and they’re bringing in people like Sara MacIntyre and Ken Boessenkool in to be the party of the right. Then they wanna move back and be the party of the Liberals instead of the Conservatives and they go in a different tack. Nowhere in here is there a vision, is there a direction where they want to take British Columbia and the Government.”
Morton will be the third official spokesperson for Clark since she became Premier.
