Auto theft declines in BC

The provincial government says auto theft is way down in British Columbia.

It says in the first half of this year, there has been a 17 per-cent drop in vehicle thefts compared to last year.

And it says since 2002 when the Bait Car program was first introduced, vehicle thefts are down 74 per-cent and vehicle break-ins are down 62 per-cent.
