27 thousand unionized workers in BC are staging a one day strike, next Wednesday.
Among those hitting the bricks will be members of the BC Government Employee’s Union.
BCGEU President Darryl Walker says members of his union will be joined by ICBC workers and others.
He says the workers have had a wage cut of five percent since 2010 and now want more money out of the province.
Walker says more job action is an option, if the one-day walkout doesn’t send a strong enough message to government.
“I’m not saying where we would end up going, but we would certainly have to have a look at some other type of action”.
He was speaking on the Simi Sara show on CKNW with guest host Mike Smyth.
