A Vancouver City Councillor says he expects a fair share of opposition to a proposal to expand the city’s ‘sea wall’ out to Point Grey.
Appearing on CKNW’s “World Today Weekend, the NPA’s George Affleck was asked about privacy concerns.
“Yeah, well I can only imagine they’ll be some angry people. I don’t see why not… but I’m hoping that the same amount of people will be pretty excited about it. I think it’s important that we protect their privacy and their security and that the wall, whenever it is constructed, does that for them… and doesn’t impede on their life and their lifestyles.”
The motion heads to council this week.
