The BC Liberals are gaining support as the BC Conservatives are falling.
That’s according to a new Ipsos Reid poll.
The poll shows that 35% of decided voters in the province support the BC Liberals — that’s up 3 points from September.
Support for the Conservatives has gone down 3 points since September — from 12% to 9%.
Since June, support for the Liberals has gone up by 6 points, while support for the Conservatives has gone down by 7 points.
Meanwhile, 48% of decided voters support the NDP — that’s virtually unchaged from September.
Ipsos Reid notes the overall provincial mood should favour the Liberals, saying 59% of British Columbians think the economy is in very good or good shape.
Nearly four-in-ten think the economy is in poor or very poor shape.
When the Liberals were elected in the spring of 2001, the 25% of British Columbians thought the economy was in good shape.
