NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. – A 32-year-old woman from New Westminster, B.C., has been charged in the death of her six-month-old baby.
Sgt. Jennifer Pound of the region’s RCMP-led integrated homicide unit says Joyce Dobranski has been charged with manslaughter.
Pound says the mother called 911 last June 22 reporting the baby was in medical distress.
The infant died in hospital three days later.
Pound says Dobranski was arrested last Friday.
She’s not saying how the baby died.
