Smoke from fires in Colorado blankets B.C. Interior

Smoke blanketing much of the B.C. Interior isn’t the result of any local forest fires.
Information officer Fionna Tollovsen says it’s coming from south of the border.

“We’ve been receiving quite a few phone reports about a haze that’s present in the Kamloops, Lillooet and Merritt zones. We’ve also even received some reports from down on the coast.  We can know confirm that all the smoke is coming from the Colorado wildfires.”

Several huge fires are burning in Colorado – it’s being called the worst fire season that state has ever seen.
