Smoke from fires in Colorado blankets B.C. Interior

Fire hits another Interior BC mill

Fire at the Tolko Mill in Merritt is now under control. RCMP and emergency services were called to the scene at 9 pm Wednesday. Cst. Tracy Dunsmore says the fire was contained to the main building and is now under control. No injuries have been reported and the fire is not considered suspicious. Some good news from Tulameen, where fears of flooding have led to an evacuation alert for 272 homes.
