A Surrey man who killed a 17-year-old for vandalizing cars is expected to be sentenced Monday.
Back in July 2010, Steven Brandon Mulligan-Brum shot Adem Aliu dead at 133 Avenue near 142 Street.
Aliu was part of a group of teens who police said at the time were acting like “stupid children,” slashing tires and kicking cars, before Mulligan-Brum confronted him.
The man had been facing a charge of second-degree murder, but pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter last September.
He’ll learn how much time he’ll spend behind bars at B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminister.
