The battle over Bill 22 continues

BC teachers will once again take to the streets Wednesday to speak out against the Government’s Bill 22.

Federation President, Susan Lambert says the demonstrations across BC are a way of saying the dispute is still going, and that it hasn’t been resolved in a satisfactory way, “From about 4:00 onward, at various times across the Province, so this is not something that will interfere with teaching.”

Lambert says the rallies will likely be similar to the ones we’ve already seen.

She says she’s heard through media that a Legislature opening has been scheduled for July 16, 17, and 18, but a spokesman for the Government says the Legislature is not being recalled at this time and the Government is waiting for the coming report from mediator, Charles Jago.
