Vancouver Police are looking for a high-risk sex offender, who walked away from his half-way house last night.
James Patrick Benson is wanted for breaching his conditions of release.
The 32-year-old’s criminal history dates back to the early 1990’s, and includes convictions for sexual assault, attempted murder, extortion, and various property and weapons offences.
Benson is caucasian, 5-foot-8, 200-pounds, with short brown hair and brown eyes.
His tattoos include “morbid” written in tribal letters on his left forearm, and “lost soul” on his upper chest.
The last time he walked away from his half-way house he was found at a friend’s house in Port Mellon on the Sunshine Coast.
