“Walk With The Dragon” raises more than $400,000

Around 10,000 people braved the rain Sunday morning for the 27th annual “Walk With The Dragon” along the Seawall in Vancouver.
The walk raises money for “SUCCESS” – that money helps fund programs like youth leadership and family counselling for new Canadians.
Foundation C.E.O. Clarence Cheng says about $ 415,000 dollars was raised this year – not quite their target of $ 450,000
Even so, he says they’re pleased.

“Because the weather does not cooperate this year, actually there was rain in the morning, it was cold and people turned out a little bit less than last year.”

Cheng adds it’s difficult for many organizations to do fundraising nowadays because there are many charities raising money.
