CN worker killed by derailment identified

The CN worker killed by Wednesday's derailment in northern BC was a 30-year old from Dawson Creek. Bryan Giesbrecht was in a remote area nearly 250-kilometres northwest of Fort St. John when a car carrying diesel went off the tracks and crushed him. Train derailment taints rail safety week

Rail safety week is getting off to a bad start in British Columbia, thanks to the derailment of a CP coal train east of Salmon Arm.   Ten cars went off the tracks around 5:30 this morning near Canoe.
