Man dies in motorcycle crash in Burnaby, RCMP unsure of cause

VPD motorcycle officer released from hospital

A Vancouver Police motorcycle officer hit by a car today has now been treated and released from hospital, and is resting up at home. The accident happened just after 9:30 a-m on Clarke Drive. A crash involving a member of the Vancouver Police traffic section blocked off a busy intersection in Vancouver. Shortly after 9:30 this morning, the on-duty officer's motorcycle was rear-ended by a vehicle near 6th Avenue and Clark Drive. Two dead in Vancouver motorcycle crash

 A motorcycle-car crash at Burrard and 2nd Avenue in Vancouver has claimed two lives.  Police say it happened shortly after 8am.  Both riders of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old woman and a man of unknown age were killed.  They are the the city's 15th and 16th traffic fatalities of the year. Could motorcyclists in the city of Vancouver see lower parking prices? That question is up for discussion next week as city council debates a new staff report.
