Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios (“Ice Age,” “Rio”) have announced the voice cast for their new 3D CG-animated feature “Epic”, a project previously titled “Leafmen” says Deadline.
Dan Shere penned the project about a teen girl who finds herself transported into a magical deep forest where she must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters to save that world, which will in turn save our real world.
The cast list includes Beyonce Knowles as Queen Tara, Colin Farrell as Ronin, Josh Hutcherson as Nod, Amanda Seyfried as Mary Katherine, Johnny Knoxville as Mandrake, Aziz Ansari as Mub, rapper Pitbull as Bufo, Jason Sudeikis as Bomba, and Steven Tyler as Nim Galuu. Blake Anderson and Judah Friedlander also star.
Chris Wedge helms the project which is scheduled for a May 24th 2013 release. Lori Forte and Jerry Davis are producing.
