Crown wants two month jail sentence for accused rioter

The sentencing hearing for a UBC student who admitted her role in last year’s Stanley Cup riot, has been postponed.

But it appears the Crown wants Camille Cacnio to spend some time behind bars.

She was caught on camera stealing a pair of men’s tuxedo pants, and was soon fired from her job at Burrard Acura.

Then her online apology was criticized because many felt she was making excuses.

Now, CKNW has learned the Crown wants one of the most recognizable rioters to spend 2-months in jail.

21-year-old Cacnio pleaded guilty to participating in a riot and break and enter.

Earlier this month, 20-year-old Emmanuel Alviar was given a 1-month sentence for his role in the riot, which lasted over several hours.

Crown wanted him to go to jail for four months.
