Delta teacher to go on trial next month on sex charges

Trial dates have been set for a teacher from Delta facing four sex-related charges.

Robin Wait was arrested in December.

The 43-year old — who taught at Delta Secondary — is facing two counts each of sexual intereference and sexual assault.

Police were called to the school on November 4th when a victim disclosed she’d been attacked by an unknown man near the gym, but other incidents had been recorded as far back as May of last year.

Wait was released on bail — with orders to stay away from anyone under age 16.

He’s also been suspended with pay until his trial — which is slated to start on August 23rd — wraps up.
