The man who could BC’s next Premier tried to win over some of his biggest critics during a lunch time address in Vancouver today.
NDP leader Adrian Dix spoke to members of the Board of Trade for the first time since becoming leader of the Opposition.
He opened with a joke about getting together in the Fall from time to time, poking fun at the cancellation of the autumn session of the Legislature.
He went on to point out his parents operated a small business for several years in Vancouver, a reference to concerns raised about Dix perhaps being less-business friendly than some of his political opponents.
He spoke—-without notes—– for several minutes, before announcing his priority if elected will be education and skills training.
He says he wants to help pay for that by re-instating a tax on banks.
