Murder conviction upheld by top BC court

A Nanaimo murderer's bid to get out of prison sooner has been rejected by BC's highest court. Kelvin Purdy stabbed his estranged wife Denise in December of 2003. He was convicted of second degree murder and sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 19 years.
