Saturday’s Idle No More protest at Peace Arch crossing ‘not a blockade’

The Canada Border Services Agency says the customs officer who was shot yesterday remains in stable condition in hospital. In a statement the agency adds Lori Bowcock is on the road to recovery and surrounded by family. Emergency crews are dealing with a shooting at the Peace Arch Border crossing.  A Canadian Border Services Agency officer was shot in the neck shortly before 2pm and the man who shot her then  shot himself in the head.
