Property crime up in Vancouver

Property crime is up slighlty in the City of Vancouver, thanks to a 25-percent jump in car break-ins. The Vancouver Police say its a reminder not to leave anything valuable in a vehicle. VPD release first quarter crime stats

Crime stats so far this year in Vancouver are good... and bad. Violent crimes dropped nearly seven per cent in the first three months of 2012, but property crimes are up more than three per cent. Police investigate possible hate crime

Vancouver Police are investigating a possible hate crime after a violent assault. A south asian security guard was repeatedly beaten and hit with the suspect's knee.
