More Surrey murder victims identified

Two 33-year old men from surrey have been identified as the vicitms of a double homicide at a local parkade late Sunday night. Investigators do not believe the murders of John Edward McGiveron and Geordie Wesley Carlow were gang-related, but both had extensive criminal records. Another murder in Surrey - the fourth in two days. Members of the "Integrated Homicide Invesetigation Team" have been called out to 127th Street and 112-B Avenue in north Surrey where a man has been shot to death. Nanaimo murder

RCMP in Nanaimo are investigating a Sunday afternoon murder. A man was found stabbed at a housing complex at 1:45pm and he was rushed to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Nearly a year later, charges have been laid in the death of an inmate at Mission Institution. Troy Robert Squires, a dangerous offender, was killed December 2nd, 2011 at the medium-security prison.
