Suspect in Metrotown attack reaches out to police

A wheelchair-bound man who's accused of attacking a pregnant woman at the Metrotown Skytrain station in February has come forward and given a statement to Transit Police. CAW reaches deal with Coast Mountain bus company

Two locals with the Canadian Autoworkers union, 111 and 2200, have reached tentative three year deals with Coast Mountain bus company. Over 47 hundred operators, mechanics, maintenance and Seabus workers will vote on the deal in early February. The union executive is recommending ratification of the deal. Hydro reaches deal with COPE 378

BC Hydro has reached a tentative deal with inside workers, members of COPE local 378. It covers two thousand workers. It's a two year deal, containing what the government calls a "modest" wage increase, found within the existing budget.
