BC Place workers ratify new deal

PAVCO and the BCGEU have reached a three year agreement for workers at BC Place. There is no wage increase in the first year, then a two percent bump in each of the final two years. City inside workers ratify new contract

Support workers with the City of Vancouver now have a new four year contract. Members of CUPE local 15 have ratified the agreement which is retroactive to January 1st. By a vote of almost 85 per-cent, members of the BC Nurses Union have ratified a new contract with the provincial government. The 32-thousand nurses will get wage hike of 7.1 per-cent over two years, but that includes extending their work week to 37-and-a-half hours.
