Injured paraglider spends night atop mountain

A paraglider who crashed on Mt. Cheam near Chilliwack last night is in the process of being rescued by a Cormorant helicopter. Two hikers have been rescued from Burke Mountain in Coquitlam. Dwight Yochim with Coquitlam Search and Rescue says his team got a call from RCMP about the hikers around 11:00 Saturday night. Mountain biker who died on Cypress Mountain identified

A mountain biker who died last week on Cypress Mountain has been identified. West Vancouver police say he was Jonathan Tobias Pilley. The 43-year-old has been biking on a winding path along the Coiler Trail when he lost control and hit a tree. This is the first mountain biking-related death on the North Shore.
