Windsurfer rescued

The Coast Guard hovercraft from Sea Island has rescued a windsurfer who got into trouble this morning off Centennial Beach in Boundary Bay. Another successful day for North Shore Search and Rescue. A 51-year-old man was on the East Face of West Vancouver's Hollyburn Mountain when he injured his knee while backcountry skiing. The Coast Guard has rescued three people from a yacht taking on water off the coast of Tsawwassen. Rescue Coordinator Colin Henthorne describes the situation. "It's a 37-foot yacht taking on water. It took four and a half hours in heavy rain and wind, but search crews found an overdue boater off Point Roberts early Monday morning. North Vancouver Fire had to use an inflatable raft to get to a stranded hiker and his dog at the bank of the Seymour River.
